It’s game day in Kansas City, and the metro is buzzing as the Chiefs started their playoff run versus the Houston Texans.

Fans packed Arrowhead Stadium Saturday afternoon for the AFC divisional playoff game.

The game got underway shortly after 3:30 p.m. with the Texans kicking off to the Chiefs. After a big kickoff return by Chiefs wide receiver Nikko Remigio, the Chiefs were first to score with a field goal.

Fans, many who came out early to tailgate, needed to dress warm as temperatures were around 20 degrees and wind chill was 6 degrees. The Chiefs shared plans for helping fans to deal with the frigid weather and encouraged them to cover all exposed skin.

Elsewhere in Kansas City , fans gathered at the Power & Light District and other sports bars to watch the game and cheer on the Chiefs.
