Share your photos, videos of the blizzard in your Kansas City neighborhood

The Plaza lights will glow again for the 88th time beginning November 23. Well, maybe there was one year during WWII when they were not turned on; maybe there aren't really as many bulbs as were claimed in the past; maybe the crowds haven't quite as large as claimed. No matter. For Kansas Citians the Plaza lighting ceremony is truly the kickoff to the holidays. I used two strobes, right and left of camera, to freeze the snowflakes.

Kansas City is kicking off 2025 with a major winter storm. The metro is expected to see its biggest snowfall in recent years. Some areas could see anywhere from 8 to 16 inches.
