After weeks of anticipation, Chappell Roan brought Kansas City her limited tour.

The metro was eager for the Missouri-born singer’s two performances at Museum and Memorial Park, on the grounds of the National World War I Museum and Memorial. Roan played Friday and Saturday, alongside local drag performers and openers Japanese Breakfast (Friday) and Baby Tate (Saturday).

KC welcomed the performer from Willard, near Springfield, with a new mural, a specially wrapped KC Streetcar, special bakery treats and more. And Roan herself has visited a local vintage shop, a brunch favorite and her famously favorite ice cream joint.

The show brought out 30,000 fans each night — many of whom have likely come from around the country to the only concert site outside of New York and Los Angeles — that were “H-O-T-T-O-G-O” to hear their Midwest Princess.

The Star covered the shows all weekend with live updates from in and out of the concert grounds.
