Chiefs’ Travis Kelce says Taylor Swift has ‘made me a better man’
Tight end Travis Kelce sat down for a one-on-one interview with Fox Sports’ Erin Andrews that aired before the Chiefs’ game Sunday against the Eagles.
The conversation covered Kelce’s decision to return for a 13th NFL season and the mood in the Chiefs’ locker room following last week’s loss to the Chargers.
There also were questions about fiancée Taylor Swift.
“She has brought excitement and a joy for life that made me a better man, made me a better person, and made me just that much more comfortable in who I am,” Kelce said.
Andrews then asked Kelce how he felt when he popped the question to Swift, the international singing star.
“She can tell that story,” Kelce said. “The palms were definitely sweating. I’m an emotional guy, so there were a few tears here and there, but it’s been an exciting, exciting ride up to this day, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.”
The final question was about Kelce’s legacy and how he hopes to be remembered after his playing days end.
“That I was a good teammate, I was a good person in the community. I just love what I do. I don’t know,” Kelce said. “I’m not here for any other reasons. I just love coming in, playing football and giving people something to get excited for outside of their lives on Sundays.
“Hopefully they can see how much excitement I bring in my life, and they can bring that.”
