Fans missed the biggest Taylor Swift Easter egg about Super Bowl halftime show
On the first Sunday of the 2024 NFL season, the league announced that rapper Kendrick Lamar would be performing at halftime of Super Bowl LIX.
A year earlier, the NFL revealed in September that Usher would be the headliner for the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show.
That means we could know soon who will be picked to perform at Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Some fans believe they already know who will play at halftime: Superstar singer Taylor Swift, who is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
That’s based on her appearance last week on the New Heights podcast.
Swift mentioned that she has spent much of her free time making sourdough bread.
“Sourdough has taken over my life in a huge way,” Swift said. “I’m really talking about bread 60% of the time now.”
Super Bowl LX — Super Bowl No. 60 — is scheduled to be played at the 49ers’ home stadium, and the team mascot is named Sourdough Sam. That was enough for some to say Swift was letting fans know she’d be going back to the Super Bowl, this time as a performer in the San Francisco Bay area..
And Swift also mentioned the number 47 during the podcast and that was another club because her 47th Eras Tour stop was at Levi’s Stadium.
Coincidence? Is there ever a coincidence with what Swift says or shares? Heck, she loves leaving Easter eggs for her fans. She mentioned that during the New Heights visit, and in doing so may have left the biggest Easter egg of all about the Super Bowl.
And it’s one most fans missed.
“I love putting so much into the tour or a music video, or events or activities for them to do, or Easter eggs or little puzzles for them to solve,” Swift said. “Like, it’s gotten to the point where it’s just, it’s a little bit ... like the Easter eggs thing is getting a little Zodiac Killer at this point.”
Did you catch that clue? It’s gruesome, but the Zodiac Killer was a serial killer in the San Francisco area in the late 1960s.
And that might have been the biggest clue about her Super Bowl LX plans.
