Chiefs coach Andy Reid stars in a new commercial for shoemaker Skechers
Chiefs coach Andy Reid’s love of Hawaiian shirts is so well-known that he once was featured in a GQ story.
It wasn’t, however, anything like the exotic looks Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce had in the GQ photoshoot that was part of last week’s cover story for the men’s fashion magazine.
But Reid does love his Hawaiian shirts, and he got to don one for a new Skechers commercial.
“I just step in and they’re on,” Reid said of the shoes. “Plus they turn me into Relaxed Andy.”
Once he’s in the shoes, Reid is transported from a locker room with some football plays on a chalkboard to a tropical spot. Before long, Howie Mandel and Martha Stewart appear and extol the benefits of the shoes.
Mandel looks for a hug from Reid, but Big Red shuts that down quickly. However, Stewart sports a mustache in honor of Reid.
