Full Northland election results: Platte County tax vote, city councils & more
Voters in several cities in Kansas City’s Northland, plus all of Platte County, decided Tuesday who will lead their cities and school boards and how much their property taxes can increase in the future.
Tuesday night, Clay and Platte county election boards posted unofficial results from all races and issues across the Northland.

Platte County tax issue
Platte County voters passed a ballot measure intended to cap how much property taxes can increase each year for homeowners.
But even with voter approval, the future of the tax relief program is uncertain as lawsuits against it make their way through the courts.
At the center of the fight is Homestead Property Tax Credit Program, which would limit qualifying residential property tax bills from increasing by more than 5% annually.
North Kansas City election results
North Kansas City had four city council seats up for a vote, two of which were contested. There was also a contested school board race. Incumbents largely retained their seats, with one notable exception on the city council.

Gladstone City Council election results
There was one contested race for Gladstone City Council. Current council member Cameron Nave vied for his seat, to which he was appointed last year, against former council member Bill Garnos.

Parkville election results
In Parkville, there were four seats on the ballot for the Board of Aldermen, including two contested races.

Park Hill schools election results
There are four candidates looking for spots on the Park Hill school board, and only three won a seat.
School boards hire superintendents, oversee educational funds and set some school policies.
