New seasonal nonstop flight will take Kansas Citians to warm winter destination
Nonstop Saturday flight service from Kansas City International Airport to a southern city is coming this winter, taking Kansas Citians from the cold straight into a warm getaway.
Delta Airlines announced a new flight taking travelers to Orlando International Airport. The flights begin Dec. 20 and run through April 11, 2026. It’s part of a string of nonstop flights to Orlando from Delta, as the airline also plans to take passengers from Indianapolis; Pittsburgh; Nashville, Tennessee; Louisville, Kentucky; and Grand Rapids, Michigan, to the winter destination.
“The new seasonal flight offers an easy connection to one of the country’s most popular vacation spots — just in time for holiday breaks and family trips,” a representative from Delta Airlines said in a statement.
It’s also another Delta flight taking Kansas City travelers to warmer climates to escape the cold. The airline added a travel destination to Mexican coastal resort Cancun as part of its largest-ever schedule to Latin America and the Caribbean in the winter of 2025, Delta said in a press release. The airline also added nonstop flights to Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina.
Allegiant Airlines also recently added a nonstop flight from Kansas City to Alabama’s Gulf Shores in 2025.
