Kansas City is getting a new nonstop flight from KCI to this beach destination
Kansas Citians will have a quicker route to a southern coastal destination starting in spring 2025. Allegiant Airlines is launching a new nonstop flight from Kansas City to Alabama’s Gulf Shores.
Starting May 24, the flight will run on Wednesdays and Saturdays between Kansas City International Airport (airport code MCI) and the Gulf Shores International Airport (GUF). It will last approximately two hours, according to the website Flight Time Calculator.
Round trip tickets in June cost between $113 and $284 before fees, as of Wednesday.
The Gulf Shores International Airport is an hour drive from Mobile, Alabama and Pensacola, Florida. It serves the beach town destinations of Orange Beach, Fort Morgan and Gulf Shores.
KCI already has a seasonal nonstop flight through Southwest Airlines to Pensacola, Florida. This will be the first destination from Kansas City outside of Florida for Allegiant, and the first nonstop flight to Alabama out of KCI.
Here are Allegiant’s other nonstop flights from KCI:
- Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS)
- Punta Gorda Airport (PGD)
- Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB), seasonal route
- St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE)
