Did Chiefs fans act inappropriately around Taylor Swift Sunday? Swifties think so
There was no pregame walk through the tunnel at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday. Nor were there cutaways to superstar singer Taylor Swift during the broadcast of the Chiefs’ 31-0 win over the Raiders.
But photos on social media showed Swift was in an Arrowhead Stadium suite, even though she no longer takes a spot by the windows. Those pictures showed Swift in the back of the suite. Some photos were fuzzy reflections on the glass.
After the game, most of Arrowhead Stadium cleared out, except for the area around the suite where Swift watched the Chiefs thump their AFC West foe. A crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of Swift and/or her fiancé, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
And that didn’t sit well with many Swifties, who wanted the singer to have some privacy. Photos of the gaggle of fans were shared on social media, and Swift’s fans expressed their outrage at the scene.
“She is living her personal life, please try to be normal,” a fan wrote on X.
Another wrote: “some of you need to realize that she is at the game regardless of if we see her. also the fact that circumstances have changed these past 2 years and that she isn’t ‘content’ for you to consume. this is taylor trying to enjoy her life and you guys turn it into a circus of ‘taycontent’ saying (stuff) like ‘we used to be a proper country’ or ‘we used to have it so good’ NO I beg you to go outside and realize taylor is not your friend.”
“Security needs to do something about this,” wrote a third.. “Absolutely gross behavior from those people”
Here is a bit more of what people wrote on X.
