Did you catch these 3 viral Kansas City Chiefs off-field moments from Sunday?
While perhaps not necessarily fired up about the Chiefs’ 22-9 win over the Giants on Sunday night, fans were relieved and happy to see Kansas City prevail.
There were some fun moments on the field, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes taking a ball from a Giants defender and Tyquan Thornton’s viral catch.
Chiefs fans also had to like at least three off-the-field events, too. Here is a closer look at those in case you missed them.
1. National anthem
There were 80,690 people at MetLife Stadium, and a large chunk of those fans were there to cheer on the Chiefs.
NBC Sports’ Mike Tirico noted the large presence of Chiefs Kingdom, and his broadcast partner Cris Collinsworth said: “You could tell when they sang the national anthem, and they sang ‘Chiefs.’”
Yes, Chiefs fans once again made their presence known during the anthem at a road game.
2. Fallon pokes fun
There was a special episode of “The Tonight Show” on Sunday, and host Jimmy Fallon poked fun at some of the players from the Giants’ win.
That included the Chiefs’ Travis Kelce (who was “most likely to get an invite to Taylor Swift’s wedding”) and Gardner Minshew (who was most likely to “turn Gatorade into wine”).
It was a funny bit.
3. Taylor cam
Giants fans were not thrilled when Taylor Swift’s “Welcome to New York” was played at MetLife and a Taylor Cam was moving around the stadium.
Swift wasn’t at the game, but former Giants star Lawrence Taylor was, and New York fans loved it when the camera stopped on him.
This was a funny bit and this video went viral with more than 2 million views on X alone.
