For Pete's Sake

Chiefs’ Chris Jones had a salty response about Russell Wilson jersey snub

Jersey swaps are a common occurrence in the NFL, and players will often ask an opponent if they can make an exchange after the game.

It seems that Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones has tried to get quarterback Russell Wilson’s jersey in the past. But he was unsuccessful.

Jones has had plenty of opportunities, as the Chiefs played the Seahawks a few times when Wilson was in Seattle. Wilson also played two seasons with the Broncos and last year was with the Steelers, a team the Chiefs beat on Christmas.

But we learned during a postgame interview with NBC Sports’ Melissa Stark that Jones had struck out in his previous attempts to secure a Wilson jersey.

Jones was asked about that, and he gave a perfectly salty response.

“You told us that you have asked Russell Wilson multiple times for his jersey, to do a jersey swap, and you’ve never gotten one,” Stark said.

“Never gotten one,” Jones confirmed.

Stark asked: “Did you ask him again tonight?”

“I don’t even want it. It’s all good,” Jones responded.

Sounds like Jones has moved past trying to get that jersey, right?

That was a fun postgame moment from Sunday night.
