Reid told former NBC Sports writer Peter King in a 2020 interview: “How great is a good cheeseburger? Listen, there is just something about it. It keeps you grounded, Peter.”
That was after they had stopped at Reid’s favorite place in Kansas City for a cheeseburger: Town Topic.
Chiefs defensive back Jaylen Watson asked followers on X for the best burger spot in Kansas City and fans gave him lots of ideas. He eventually followed Reid’s advice and hit up Town Topic, and he was thrilled with the decision.
“Went to town topic burgers were (flame emoji) and Coach Reid approved,” Watson wrote on X.
