Chiefs coach Andy Reid shared his favorite spot in KC for a cheeseburger
In May, Chiefs coach Andy Reid and his wife, Tammy, answered questions from fans in a Facebook video and a new word may have been invented.
Forkturian.
When asked about his favorite barbecue spot, Reid said: “If you’re a forkturian, this is a good place to live because there are a lot of great food places.”
In an interview this month with NBC Sports, Peter King told Reid he was heading to Kansas City and wanted a recommendation for where to get a cheeseburger.
“You want to go to a place, I’ve got one for you,” Reid said. “They’re all good here.”
King responded, “Give it to me.”
“Town Topic,” Reid said.
“The cheeseburgers are good and the pie is good?” King wondered.
“And then get a black-and-white milkshake, so they do a vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup,” Reid said. “It’s right downtown.”
After arriving in Kansas City, King followed through and was impressed with what he ate at Town Topic.
“How great is a good cheeseburger,” Reid asked. “Listen, there is just something about it. It keeps you grounded, Peter.”
