Chiefs’ Travis Kelce shares what it’s like to mingle with world-famous celebrities
Tight end Travis Kelce jetted to New York with girlfriend Taylor Swift during the Chiefs’ bye week, and many photos were taken of the couple.
That was especially true Friday when Kelce and Swift dined with Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds (“Deadpool”) and Blake Lively (“The Age of Adaline”). That wasn’t the first time Kelce has hung out with big-name celebrities.
Earlier this year, he attended a Paul McCartney party with Mick Jagger, Ringo Starr, Bruce Springsteen, Steven Spielberg and Jennifer Aniston.
While at Swift’s Eras Tour shows in Europe, Kelce met Tom Cruise, Greta Gerwig, Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts. Oh, and the Prince of Wales, too.
In the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, Kelce was asked by ESPN’s Pat McAfee what it’s like to meet high-profile celebrities.
“At this point, it’s just, you can’t fathom what’s going on,” Kelce said. “So it’s just like a dream. You’re just like, oh yeah, no, you’re not surprised by the next thing that comes into your life or the next person that walks into the door. Yeah, it’s crazy. It’s insane. I don’t know how I got to live this silly ... life, man, but I am. I’m definitely fortunate for it, for sure.”
McAfee, who often has spoken about his admiration of Kelce and Swift, also praised the Chiefs star.
“I assume you hear it a lot, Travis. You and Taylor’s relationship is great for the sport,” McAfee said. “Like, it is getting introduced to so many people and you are and you have been the perfect representation for our sport, too, I think. Personally, genuinely, I think there’s no other human that could do what you’re doing right now and how you’re doing it is awesome. And you need to know that all of us are incredibly ... proud of the way you’re representing all of us, dude.”
