Six-time Emmy Award winner Ryan Taylor apparently knows all about the Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift romance.

Taylor cast Kelce, the Chiefs tight end, for the horror/drama “Grotesquerie” on FX, and he made his first appearance Wednesday night. After not revealing Kelce’s character’s name before the series premiere, we learned it’s Ed Laclan.

The main character on “Grotesquerie” is detective Lois Tryon, played by Niecy Nash, and she’s investigating a series of grizzly murders.

Episode three aired Wednesday night and Kelce’s character, Laclan, hit it off with the detective. Here is a scene in a hospital where Laclan works.

Yep, Kelce’s character mentioned Pop-Tarts, and that can’t be a coincidence, right?

In February, Chiefs coach Andy Reid revealed that Kelce’s girlfriend, superstar singer Taylor Swift, had made that treat for Chiefs players.

“Kind of behind the scenes to fit in ... she likes to cook, so she made the offensive linemen these homemade Pop-Tarts,” Reid said in an NBC Sports interview. “So it was over. She didn’t give me one and the offensive linemen definitely didn’t give me one.”

A few months later, Kelce was asked by The Star’s Emily Curiel what he likes to cook with Swift.

“Taylor makes a great pop tart and cinnamon rolls,” Kelce said.

So ... Pop-Tarts being mentioned in a horror show with Kelce had to be intentional. Swift’s fans certainly thought so.

And then there’s this scene. The characters drive off in a ... getaway car? That could be another Swift reference.

Here is one more scene featuring Kelce. Here’s guessing his Chiefs teammates will bring this up at some point.
