‘The Franchise’ shows how loud Chiefs fans were during national anthem at Super Bowl
The final episode of the Chiefs’ show “The Franchise” aired on Wednesday night and it’s all about Super Bowl LIV and the celebration in Kansas City.
All the good stuff is in there, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes calling for Wasp, coach Andy Reid giving Mahomes a kiss on the cheek at the end of the game and players hugging their fathers. There are highlights from the game and mic’d-up moments.
The video also shows how vocal Chiefs fans were at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Twice during the game, an on-field announcer asked for fans of each team to make noise. Both times the Chiefs fans were clearly much louder.
In “The Franchise” video, Chiefs fans could be heard drowning out Demi Lovato at the end of the national anthem:
One other great moment came when the Chiefs ran a play they pilfered from the 1948 Rose Bowl. When Mahomes called the play, “Shift The Rose Bowl Right Parade,” one player actually said, “Oh wow.”
