‘Best tour in the world’: Travis Kelce praises Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour before her birthday

Travis Kelce just keeps setting the bar for boyfriends higher and higher. Praising your girlfriend in public will always score big points.

During this week’s episode of the “New Heights” podcast, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end gushed over international superstar Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour, which she wrapped up Sunday in Vancouver. The two have been dating since last year.

“Shoutout to Tay. The unbelievable Eras Tour has finally come to an end,” Travis said to his co-host, brother Jason Kelce.

Contemplating that Swift performed 149 shows in 21 countries over a nearly two-year span, Travis called Swift’s accomplishment “insane. Absolutely insane. Over 10 million people in the stands over the course of it, like cumulatively. It’s pretty crazy.”

Jason added his own “shoutout to Tay.”

“Shoutout to everybody that was a part of that show,” Travis said. “Obviously, it’s her music, her tour and everything, but that was a full production, man. It was the best tour in the world because of a lot of people.”

Then he added with a smile: “But mostly because of Taylor.”

The tour ended just days before Swift celebrates her 35th birthday on Friday, which happens to be Friday the 13th. Swift fans are eager to see what Travis has planned for the milestone birthday.

Only rumors and “insider” speculation hint at anything so far.

But Swift’s birthday is starting to look like a national holiday already with events and parties planned across the country.

In San Diego, for instance, a downtown skating rink is hosting a Taylor Swift party on Friday.

A public library in East Ridge, Tennessee, is throwing a friendship bracelet-making workshop to mark the day. Another library in New Hampshire is hosting a reading of poetry inspired by Swift’s songs.

And though Travis hasn’t revealed his own plans, Kansas City already has parties planned for Friday, Swifties invited.

The Nighthawk basement bar inside Hotel Kansas City is hosting a Taylor Swift birthday party and the Jumelle & Co. event space downtown is throwing a “Swiftie Birth-Tay Pop Up.”

Swift celebrated her birthday last year in New York at a party with friends that gave rise to the now-infamous “RingGate” conspiracy.

Fans went gaga over a huge gemstone ring she wore that night, immediately jumping to the false conclusion that the sparkler was a gift from then-new boyfriend Travis.

But after days of breathless headlines and countless TikTok and Instagram debates, Swift’s friend, actress Keleigh Teller, spilled the beans: She gave Swift the opal and blue topaz ring.
