Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney’s availability for Week 12 took another hit on Thursday.

Toney, who is dealing with a hamstring injury, missed a second straight day of practice, leaving his status in doubt for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

Toney suffered the injury in the first half of Week 11’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers and didn’t finish the game.

While Toney’s continued absence on the practice field is a concern, the Chiefs appear on track to get wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) back in action. Smith-Schuster practiced fully for a second straight day, signaling he is close to clearing the concussion protocol.

Starting left guard Joe Thuney (ankle) also didn’t practice Thursday and he was observed standing off to the side without his helmet during the open portion of practice available to the media. If Thuney can’t play Sunday, the Chiefs could turn to backup center/guard Nick Allegretti.

Fullback Michael Burton missed Thursday’s practice with an illness.

The Chiefs designated safety Juan Thornhill (calf) as a limited participant for a second straight day. Thornhill suffered the injury in Week 11 and didn’t finish the game.

Linebacker Nick Bolton (hamstring), cornerback Chris Lammons (concussion), offensive lineman Lucas Niang (knee), cornerback Jaylen Watson (hand), running back Jerick McKinnon (hamstring, shoulder) and cornerback L’Jarius Sneed (knee) practiced fully Thursday.
