What’s the cheapest ticket for a Kansas City World Cup game? See latest prices

The first game at Kansas City Stadium for the 2026 FIFA World Cup is just a few weeks away, and it’s even sooner that the four teams with base camps in the area — Algeria, Argentina, England and Netherlands — will set up shop to prepare for the tournament.

Nationwide, ticket prices have dominated the discussions surrounding the tournament, as FIFA has faced criticism for its high prices and sales process over the past few months.

Fan groups contrasted 2026’s ticket prices to those in 2022, when the World Cup was played in Qatar. The most expensive ticket for the 2022 final between Argentina and France was around $1,600.

The most expensive ticket for this year’s final was around $11,000 when tickets first went on sale.

While Kansas City isn’t hosting the final, Kansas City Stadium will have six games during the tournament, including a round of 32 and quarterfinal match. The defending champion Argentina and its superstar Lionel Messi will also play here, with a chance at playing in Kansas City one more time if they can advance.

Where do ticket prices stand with less than a month to go before the first game? Have they dropped in price on the secondary markets?

How much do FIFA World Cup tickets cost in Kansas City?

Tickets for the games in Kansas City are not cheap, but some do cost less than others. Some of the factors that go into the resale prices include the teams playing and when they play.

These are the cheapest prices available on resale websites like SeatGeek, StubHub and Tickets For Less as of Wednesday, May 20. Each price listed is for a seat in the upper level at Kansas City Stadium.

Buyers should also be aware of any potential scams on resale websites. Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway said in a statement that fans should exercise caution when purchasing tickets for the games, and should look for any signs of potential scams, like prices significantly below the market value and not providing personal or financial information to unfamiliar websites or sellers.
