Let the dogs out: FIFA Fan Fest welcomes dogs on select days during KC World Cup
Everyone’s going to be included when it comes to celebrating the World Cup in Kansas City. Yes, even the dogs are getting in on the fun.
Pet-food company Purina is teaming up with KC2026 to include three dog days events during the FIFA Fan Fest. Pet owners can bring their dogs to Fan Fest on June 14, June 21 and July 5.
Fans who bring their furry companion can also get a limited edition, customizable Purina x KC2026 Pet Kit, a pet soccer jersey exclusively available to Dog Days attendees. Purina will also offer fans free pet apparel, take-home Purina samples and programming showing how pets can improve your life.
“By creating space for fans to share the experience with their pets — and by spotlighting the incredible work of local organizations supporting animal adoption — we’re expanding what it means to feel welcomed and included,” Pam Kramer, CEO of KC2026, said in a press release.
Fan Fest attendees can also begin the first steps of bringing a pet home. Purina is collaborating with KC Pet Project by covering $50 per completed pet adoption during the tournament. The goal is to help 400 area pets in shelters find new homes.
The FIFA Fan Fest in Kansas City will take place at the National WWI Museum and Memorial. Dog Days is just one more event added to Fan Fest, which will feature over 40 artists performing throughout the tournament.
