‘Look at those cool temperatures’: Fall weather, rain return to Kansas City on Tuesday
Cool weather coming into the Kansas City area Tuesday may be accompanied by bursts of rain, according to FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.
“The cooler air will overtake the region as the day goes along,” said Laurie, who provides weather updates to The Star. “I would suggest having an umbrella with you tomorrow. It could be kind of an iffy day, especially in the afternoon as we may have some scattered thunderstorms in the area.”
He said while areas south of Kansas City will still be “pretty darn warm,” the temperatures in the metro will likely stay in the mid-60s on Tuesday, a forecast about 25 degrees cooler than Monday.
Scattered showers are possible Tuesday morning, with a high temperature of about 65 around noon before a stronger possibility of thunderstorms set in again in the afternoon, Laurie said. The area south of the city could see the heaviest storms Tuesday.
While the skies are looking to clear up Wednesday, rain will likely make a return Thursday and Friday.
“Look at those cool temperatures though,” Laurie said. “Highs on Wednesday and Thursday may be only between 55 and 60 degrees.”
