This office is responsible for conducting elections in the state of Kansas, issuing official state publications and maintaining business records for all companies authorized to do business in the state.
Scott Schwab, an Olathe Republican, won re-election. He faced Democrat Jeanna Repass.
A key issue in the statewide race is trust in elections. Schwab has built a reputation of forcefully rejecting unfounded claims of voter fraud and irregularities that have grown in Kansas in the wake of the 2020 election.
