The Star is investigating broken government in Missouri and Kansas — and needs your help.

In a new project from The Star, “Broken Government,” we want to expose how government at all levels in both states doesn’t work for residents and taxpayers, with the goal of holding officials and politicians accountable.

Our first story is an investigation into how small local governments that lack strong financial safeguards become petri dishes for fraud and municipalities fall victim to fraud over and over again.

But we want readers to help guide what we should do next. We want to hear your tips and ideas about what we should investigate. Use the form below to share your thoughts.
