A Roeland Park man was convicted Friday in the Christmas Eve 2023 deaths of a pregnant woman and her unborn child.

Nicholas Gregg, of Roeland Park, pleaded no contest to two counts of distribution of drugs causing death, according to a press release from Melody Webb, a spokesperson for the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office. All other charges filed against him were dismissed.

Gregg provided narcotics, including fentanyl, to 31-year-old Alexandrea Hunter, resulting in the woman’s death on Christmas Eve in 2023, according to court documents. Hunter’s unborn child also died.

Izabel Reed, of Roeland Park, was sentenced to 25 years in prison April 1 after previously pleading no contest to two counts of distribution of drugs causing death.

Gregg is being held in the New Century Adult Detention Center, according to the jail’s inmate listing. He is set to appear for a sentencing hearing on July 15.
