A 25-year-old man faces a manslaughter charge in connection with a fatal shooting in Olathe last weekend.

Prosecutors charged Armando Javier Guerrero with voluntary manslaughter Monday in Johnson County District Court, online court records show.

Officers arrested Guerrero on Saturday after 21-year-old Landen Roggenkamp of Olathe was killed in a shooting. Guerrero was being held pending charges, according to police.

Dispatchers received a call requesting police just before 10 p.m. Saturday in the 1400 block of East Mart-Way Circle, said Sgt. John Moncayo, a police spokesman.

Officers found Roggenkamp with multiple wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he later died, Moncayo said.

The killing is Olathe’s second homicide of the year, according to data tracked by The Star. One homicide was recorded in Olathe at this time last year.

Guerrero is being held on a $1 million bond, court record show. He is due to appear in court at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday for a hearing in Division M2.
