Police find man shot, killed at East 10th Street and Brooklyn Avenue in Kansas City

A man was shot and killed early Wednesday morning in Kansas City, police said.

Officers responded about 2 a.m. to a shooting at East 10th Street and Brooklyn Avenue, according to the Kansas City Police Department.

A man who had been shot was found on the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said there is no suspect information. Investigators were collecting evidence and information from the scene.

This was the 29th homicide in Kansas City this year, according to data kept by The Star.
