Police identify 68-year-old woman who was killed in Olathe stabbing last week

Police have identified a 68-year-old woman who was fatally stabbed last Friday in Olathe.

Patricia E. Fitzgerald, of Montgomery, Texas, was killed in the homicide, according to the Olathe Police Department.

On December 20, officers responded to an armed disturbance in the 10200 block of South Shadow Circle.

Fitzgerald was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 38-year-old woman was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Olathe police said everyone involved in the incident had been identified, but the homicide remains under investigation.
