For 2nd week in a row, Taylor Swift a no-show at Chiefs game. Sad fans wonder why
For the second week in a row, Taylor Swift was a no-show at boyfriend Travis Kelce’s game, and fans of both commiserated on social media where one fan cried out in all-caps.
“I WANT TO KNOW WHY TAYLOR SWIFT IS NOT AT THE CHIEFS GAME,” he tweeted on X.
Swift attended the Chiefs’ first two home games of the regular season, both victories, against the Ravens and Bengals. She’s on a two-month break from her Eras Tour and fans assumed — incorrectly, we know now — that she would attend all the Chiefs’ games scheduled during her downtime.
“I wonder if she is only doing home games this season,” wondered one fan on X.
“I’ve heard she has a career with a fairly demanding schedule,” explained another.
The Chiefs play one more game before she resumes Oct. 18 in Miami. They play the Saints at home on Oct. 7, followed by a bye week.
Swift’s last visit to SoFi was in August 2023, when she played six sold-out Eras Tour concerts there.
“So far Taylor Swift has been more successful in So-Fi than the chiefs,” one Swiftie tweeted as the team struggled in the first half.
And when wide receiver Rashee Rice was injured, fans made some jokes about Swift being pressed into playing duty for the Chiefs.
