Restaurant updates

Taco Bell Cantina has applied for a liquor license at 4111 Broadway, in the Westley on Broadway apartment building in Westport.

The chain wouldn’t confirm the location, and the officials with the apartment complex said they couldn’t comment.

A Taco Bell spokeswoman did provide some background on the cantinas: “Taco Bell is looking long-term as it reinvents what it means to be a restaurant of the future. While other brands may be solely focused on drive-thrus, Taco Bell is planning for a future filled with, of course, drive-thrus, but also everything from experiential to digital-forward elements.”

The cantinas can feature Twisted Freeze — customized with vodka, tequila or rum — as well as beer, wine and sangria.
