Fiancée of Chiefs star to open a Kansas City clothing boutique for kids and moms

Sydni Russell may be best known as the fiancée of Kansas City Chiefs star safety Tyrann Mathieu. But she is also a popular online retailer, and now plans to open her own brick-and-mortar store next month.

Russell currently sells her line of baby, toddler and women’s apparel through her website. Her Jill Marie Boutique plans a May opening in Zona Rosa.

Items include onesies — tie-dyed hoodie-style, others with the words “Boss Baby,” and a sleeveless one with a football symbol. There also are infant scrunchies, baby beanies, bows, socks and more, such as an adult sweatshirt with the letters “Boss Babe” across the front.

In 2020, Sydni Russell, fiancée of Kansas City Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu, arrived for Super Bowl LIV in Miami with their then-2-month-old daughter, Mila.

The shop will open at 7101 N.W. 86th Terrace. A Zona Rosa spokeswoman says it will be the center’s first minority-owned boutique.

The Star has previously reported that Russell is Mathieu’s longtime girlfriend, and they have two children together.
