Luxury designer Tory Burch coming to the Kansas City metro with outlet store
Legends Outlets Kansas City will add luxury American lifestyle brand Tory Burch to its lineup.
The nearly 3,000-square-foot outlet store will offer the brand’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags and accessories.
In surveys of Legends Outlets customers, Tory Burch was the most requested luxury handbag and accessory retailer, said Stacy Scheelk, the center’s senior director of operations and business development.
The store will be at 1803 Village West Parkway, Suite M-105, in Kansas City, Kansas, across from the Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store. It is scheduled to open this fall.
White House Black Market previously occupied the space but closed in late 2015. Then Topsy’s Popcorn operated there for three years before moving to its current Legends spot.
The closest Tory Burch outlets are currently in Branson, Missouri, and Gretna, Nebraska.
Legends Outlets marketing director Jessica Kinsey has said that traffic at the mall has rebounded better than expected during the COVID-19 pandemic. She said shoppers seem more comfortable visiting outdoor centers like the Legends. For example, the center just announced a new Sephora store will open there next year. And Backyard Butchers opened an outdoor pop-up market at the shopping center through at least the end of September.
But Wilsons Leather Outlet advertised a going-out-of-business sale and the Lane Bryant Outlet sits dark.
