Plaza restaurant closed for the ‘remainder of the day.’ That was more than a week ago
UPDATE: P.F. Chang’s responded and gave a reason tied to COVID-19 for the temporary closing.
P.F. Chang’s, an Asian restaurant chain on the Country Club Plaza, has been closed for more than a week.
A sign on the door dated Aug. 10 reads: “Due to unforeseen circumstances we are closed for the remainder of the day. We at P.F. Chang’s KC apologize for the inconvenience and we are working to open back up ASAP!”
A message at the corporate headquarters in Arizona says the office is temporarily closed but messages will be returned within 48 to 72 hours. However, the company has not responded to questions on the temporary closing after more than a week.
In a statement, Kasey Vena, general manager of the Plaza, said, “We look forward to P.F. Chang’s reopening soon.”
She directed additional questions to P.F. Chang’s.
P.F. Chang’s opened at 102 W. 47th St. in November 1999, according to The Kansas City Star’s archives.
The Kansas City Health Department found six critical violations during a July 27 routine inspection. The location had no critical violations during an Aug. 3 follow-up inspection. There were no other updates. from the department.
