Kansas City police on Sunday released the name of a woman killed Friday night in a hit-and-run crash as she tried to cross U.S. 71 in a crosswalk.

Jyra D. Hill, 25, was struck and killed by a vehicle that left the scene.

The crash occurred about 11:15 p.m. Friday, according to Kansas City police. Hill was walking west to east in the crosswalk at Gregory Boulevard when the vehicle hit her.
