Police are investigating a homicide in the Northland after a shooting left one person dead and another injured.

Police received reports of a shooting about 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 3800 bock of North Kensington Avenue. The area is near Northeast Chouteau Trafficway and Northeast Parvin Road in Kansas City, North.

Arriving officers found a person with gunshot wounds. The person was rushed to the hospital. The extent of the person’s injuries was not available.

Officers found a second person who had died at the scene.
