The best milk for the eclipse? Try Black Milk, says Shatto
Shatto Milk Co. is celebrating the Aug. 21 solar eclipse with limited edition bottles of Black Milk.
The flavor is similar to its cookies and cream flavor, but Shatto is calling it a cookies and cookies and cream flavor because it appears as if extra cookies give it the darker hue. Actually, it’s food coloring that turns the milk black.
The cow in the bottle’s logo is wearing solar glasses, and the “O” in Shatto is in the shape of an eclipse. The word “eclipse” is printed in white letters on the side.
Only 6,500 of the bottles will be available in stores and through Shatto Home Delivery, starting later in the week leading up to the eclipse.
The Black Milk also will be offered to several thousand people attending Shatto’s sold-out eclipse party at the Osborn, Mo., farm, which is within the path of totality.
