22-year-old man identified as fatal victim of rolling gun battle

A 22 year-old-man has been identified as the victim of a fatal rolling gun battle in Kansas City this afternoon.

Family members have identified Donnell Louis of Kansas City as the man found inside a crashed brown SUV following what police describe as a "rolling gun battle" that took place on the 4400 block of Lawn Avenue just before 4 p.m. today.

A neighbor mentioned hearing "more than 20 shots" in rapid succession at around the time the crime was reported.

Police say parties from both vehicles fled the scene. They are still searching for another potential victim at area hospitals.
