KC police release the name of man fatally shot at 51st and the Paseo

Kansas City police has identified a 36-year-old man who was fatally shot late Friday in the 5100 block of the Paseo as Brandon D. Davis.

Police responded to a call of shots fired. Shortly after officers arrived, they received word that a man had been dropped off at a hospital. The victim was identified as Davis, a Kansas City resident, who was later pronounced dead.

Investigators think that Davis was the person who was shot at 51st Street and the Paseo.

Witnesses said around the time of the shooting, they saw a car speed away.

No arrests have been made and the shooting remains under investigation.
