Shooting victim, presumed to be shot at 51st and Paseo, dies at hospital
A victim shot in the area of 51st Street and Paseo Boulevard has died.
According to the Kansas City Police Department, shortly after 10 p.m. Friday, police were dispatched to 51st Street and Paseo Boulevard on a call of shots fired. Shortly after their arrival on the scene, a car arrived at an area hospital carrying a person suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. That person was later pronounced dead.
Police are presuming the victim at the hospital and was shot at the crime scene.
Witnesses say around the time of the shooting they saw a car speeding away.
