Former Chiefs wide receiver Gehrig Dieter has been amusing himself on social media with posts that are clearly designed to troll Kansas City fans.

Dieter, who was with the Chiefs from 2017 to 2022, is a big Yankees fan and he has been active on X ahead of the three-game series between New York and the Royals this week.

“At least the Yankees play the Royals next,” Dieter wrote Sunday. “That’s an easy 3 wins.”

Nearly all Royals fans saw Dieter was attempting to get a response out of them. So Dieter turned to his next trick.

“Someone remind me why Royals fans hate Jazz Chisholm?” he asked.

That’s something viewers watching on TBS might be asking tonight because the broadcast is almost certain to catch Royals fans booing Chisholm when he steps to the plate.

During last year’s American League Division Series, Chisholm said the Royals were lucky when they beat the Yankees in Game 2 in the Bronx.

That didn’t sit well with Kansas City fans, some of whom reminded Dieter of Chisholm’s words.

Later in the series, Chisholm and Royals third baseman Maikel Garcia got into a short tiff and that simply added to the dislike for Jazz.

Here is a bit of what’s being said about Chisholm ahead of the series.
