One great thing about Chiefs games at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is what can sometimes happen afterward.

There are times when Chiefs coach Andy Reid is heading back to the locker room and he’ll be greeted by his grandchildren.

Reid clearly loves being a grandfather, because he once compared the kids to food. That’s the ultimate compliment because Reid is a forkturian (a term he came up with and I just love).

“They keep you young,” Reid said of his grandchildren at a news conference ahead of Super Bowl LIV in Miami. “And at the same time they make you feel old. It’s kind of like sweet and sour pork.”

Reid took two of his grandkids to Kauffman Stadium on Tuesday night to watch the Royals’ crazy 4-3 win over the Rockies in 11 innings. Like the late great Bob Uecker, they were in the front row.

If you want to take a break from NFL Draft preparation, this was a good way to do it.
