We’re more than a week into NFL free agency and some star players now have new team and bank accounts that are bursting with cash. Others remained with their teams.

But not all free agents have signed a contract, and that includes former Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay Jr.

Gay was a free agent a year ago when he left the Chiefs and signed a one-year contract with the New Orleans Saints. Gay has signaled his interest in returning to Kansas City, and a large number of Chiefs fans have made it clear they would welcome him back with open arms.

That’s especially true among Chiefs Twitter, where fans have been sharing their desire to see Gay back in Kansas City. Some have specifically mentioned they hope general manager Brett Veach takes note of what the fans are saying.

This is a snapshot of what has been said by fans about Gay on X.
