A Missouri designer made the teal KC Current jackets worn by Patrick and Brittany Mahomes
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes often likes to dress smartly before a game, and he did that once again over the weekend.
Although he wasn’t playing, Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, were at CPKC Stadium on Saturday for the Kansas City Current’s 3-1 win over the Portland Thorns in the NWSL season opener.
And like others on hand to support the Current, the couple wore teal. But this was something different. They had custom-made jackets, and one neat detail is the logo on the back.
The jackets appear to have been made by Goldbar Limited, a Missouri-based company. Goldbar sells a similar jacket featuring the Chiefs.
Here is a description of those Chiefs jackets: “The silky, smooth inner lining is completely covered with a beautiful, sprawling high-res piece, designed and expertly composed by GOLDBAR’s world-renowned stylist, Q Ambition, depicting the iconic profile of ‘The Scout’ nobly presiding over the colorful KC city lights, proudly showing the Champions rings in the sky above.
“Retro design elements will immediately set this apart from the crowd while still showing support to the city clubs. The cut and fit of these is almost bespoke, and very clever. Function, form, fit, fresh. Enjoy the experience of wearing a conversation piece everywhere you go! Show pride in your community, while building your own legend.”
Those teal jackets were a conversation piece on social media ... and some want to buy one.
Q Ambition previously made a jacket specifically for Mahomes that featured images of the Chiefs quarterback.
“It’s a cutting edge between urban edge to luxurious,” Q said of his fashion in an interview with KSDK-TV in St. Louis.
There are some other interesting details in the jackets. For instance, both Patrick and Brittany have their last name in the K on the front of the jacket.
Patrick Mahomes’ No. 15 is on the C on his jacket.
Another nice touch is the red and white stripe trim around the collar and the end of the jackets. That seems to be a nod to the Chiefs.
And the Current’s secondary logo is on the left sleeve of Brittany Mahomes’ jacket.
