The cookies have been delivered to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce ... and no, that’s not a secret code.

While speaking at a news conference Thursday ahead of Super Bowl LIX, Kelce confirmed that his mother, Donna, had made her special home-baked cookies for him.

“Never played in a Super Bowl without them,” Travis Kelce noted.

Two years ago, Donna Kelce brought those sweet treats to the Super Bowl LVII Opening Night event for Travis and his brother Jason, who was playing for the Eagles at the time.

Donna Kelce wore her half-Chiefs, half-Eagles jersey to that Super Bowl and Kelce was asked if he expected her to wear it Sunday when the teams meet again, this time at the Caesars Superdome.

“I would hope she didn’t have the split jersey there,” Travis Kelce said with a smile. “Did Philly reel in my entire family on this one? No, I think she’ll be wearing red. I think everyone outside of Jason and (wife) Kylie are going to be wearing all red.”

Travis knows his mother well.

Donna Kelce spoke with a fan at a Chiefs game in December and shared that she wears a No. 87 jersey that Travis Kelce had autographed. He wrote: “Love you Mommy!”

That jersey is her one game-day superstition.

“I have had this jersey forever. He signed that for me a long time ago when he first came into the league,” Donna Kelce told the fan. “And I wear it every time. It’s starting to break off and everything, so I have to cover it up. This is probably the most superstitious I get, is this jersey.”

She also showed off a bracelet that holds special meaning.

“The other thing too is this is my mom’s. My mother died a couple years ago and I carry this with me,” Donna said of the bracelet. “She had one (bead) for the Chiefs and one for the Eagles. I feel like she’s with me.

“So I always have this and I always have the jersey.”

And she likely will have those items Sunday at the Caesars Superdome when she cheers on her son and the Chiefs.
