You may not have considered this before, but a ball boy gets a decent amount of screen time during an NFL broadcast.

However, you rarely see their face because they most often are visible with their back to the camera. (Ball boys are easily identifiable with the large red X on their back and front.)

These guys make sure to get a ball to a game official when they need it, and that’s the bulk of their job.

But during the Chiefs’ game Saturday against the Houston Texans at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, a ball boy helped KC coach Andy Reid.

It happened during the second quarter, and football writer Nate Tice noticed the moment. He shared video of it. Check out the bottom of the screen for the ball boy’s assist.
