This simply could not be a coincidence.

Fans noted something peculiar in the latest season of “Only Murders In The Building.” The Hulu show stars Martin Short, Steve Martin and Selena Gomez. The latter is close friends with superstar singer Taylor Swift, whose boyfriend is Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

You don’t have to be an NFL fan to know that, right?

Well, there was a scene in a recent episode that people believe was a nod to the Swift-Kelce romance.

The characters played by Short and Gomez were visiting someone who collected dolls. And one of those dolls looked like Swift wearing an 87 shirt. That’s Kelce’s number, of course.

Every item in a scene of a television show is there for a reason. There are no coincidences. Especially one that includes Kelce’s jersey number on a doll that bears at least a passing resemblance to his girlfriend.

Take a look at this and decide for yourself.

Gomez is an executive producer of “Only Murders In The Building,” so perhaps it was her idea to add the doll.

Fans on the social media site X believed it was an intentional nod to Kelce and Swift. This is a bit of what was being said.
