So now we know. Don’t bother inviting Charles Barkley to your wedding, or funeral.

Mr. “Ain’t No Place I’d Rather Be” than Madison Square Garden declined his invitation to the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce wedding that took place there on Friday.

And why?

“I don’t go to weddings or funerals,” the NBA great now analyst said on the “Unfiltered With Ricky Bo and Bill Colarulo” podcast Tuesday.

“But I did get an invite, and I politely declined because I thought it was going to be a crap show.

“I love Travis and Jason, and I’ve only met Taylor one time, but yeah, I did get an invite. But I said, that’s just too much. I just want to hang out and play golf, and I don’t want to dress up and all that other stuff.

“But I appreciate the invitation. It was pretty special.”

Well at least he realized his invite was real, unlike BBC Radio 1 presenter Greg James who thought he was being scammed when he received his.

James told his listeners on Wednesday he received his wedding invitation “in the form of a link ... in the middle of the night on March 12.”

Swift had invited him to the wedding during an interview in October.

“I basically turned my phone straight off and thought, ‘I can’t deal with that now, it’s too mad,’” he said, adding that he didn’t tell anyone about the invite at first except his wife.

Since “there was no paper invite to follow (and) it was all electronic,” he thought it was a prank, and still thought that even after he and his wife flew to New York, thinking they had made a big trip for nothing.

“I wasn’t sure until we got there. … There was a huge part of us that was … like, ‘This could not be real. This could be a scam,’” he said.

It was real.

He spilled a few beans for his listeners.

The “plentiful” food, he said, was served buffet-style. It was not a sit-down dinner and “a lot of the Brits did congregate for a bit.”

And, “there were multiple cakes. There was 1,000 people, there were loads of cakes.”

And, “there was an open invitation to get up onto the stage and dance while the DJ was on, and so I did.”

He wouldn’t comment on whether Swift herself sang at the ceremony, or say anything about her dress.

“It was a room full of the most famous people in the world,” he said. “It was like going to Madame Tussauds, but the wax was animated and you could interact with the wax and it talked back to you. It was absolutely mad. I think I had a few wees next to NFL players.”
