NFL Films’ superb video breakdown of the Chiefs’ “Jet Chip Wasp” play in Super Bowl LIV included some face time for the referee of that game.

Bill Vinovich was asked for a replay review before the Chiefs’ iconic play, and he was seen in the video talking to the 49ers and other officials.

If you’ve seen that video, then you know Vinovich’s face. If not, don’t worry because you’ll see him again. Vinovich was chosen to work Super Bowl LVIII, too.

Football Zebras noted Vinovich will be working his 19th postseason game. That includes six conference championships, and this will be his third Super Bowl. In addition to Super Bowl LIV, he worked Super Bowl XLIX, which the Patriots won 28-24 over the Seahawks.

Vinovich is in his 18th season as an NFL official and he’s been a referee for 15 seasons.

Vinovich’s last 49ers game was on Christmas Day when they were defeated 33-19 by the Baltimore Ravens.

Super Bowl LVIII will feature the same teams as Super Bowl LIV and they’ll be wearing the same jersey combination. And the same referee will be working the game, too.
