Shortly after head coach Andy Reid and wide receiver Xavier Worthy wrapped a routine press session, Travis Kelce and pop superstar Taylor Swift took to their Instagram accounts to announce they were officially engaged after two years of dating.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” they co-wrote.
Then in walked Danna, who had just been informed of the engagement by a Chiefs communications representative 30 seconds prior.
“I don’t know nothing!” he laughed, before realizing he would be answering several questions about it from an equally giddy media corps.

“But she did Pop-Tarts for (all the) position groups. I think she did it like last year — and when I tell you the D-line was all over those, like, as soon as we found out it was from her, we were like, ‘Yeah, we need about like four more boxes of those,’ and it was about like 12 of them in each.”
Overwhelmed, Danna joked that it would be difficult to think of a wedding gift for a couple who has it all, instead suggesting he may have to send back Pop-Tarts, except his would be store-bought.
Cool, calm and collected, Danna stood at the lectern and embraced a situation he never imagined he’d be in.
“When I tell you that was not on my mind in being the first one to talk to you guys about it, that’s shocking to me,” he chuckled.
