Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged, the superstar singer announced on social media Tuesday.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Swift wrote in an Instagram post.

Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end have dated since 2023.

Swift shared photos of the couple in a garden setting surrounded by flowers. One shows a close-up of her enormous diamond engagement ring that appears to be vintage-inspired.

USA Today reported that the ring was designed by Kindred Lubeck with Artifex Fine Jewelry, describing it as “an old mine brilliant cut.”

In her engagement photos, Swift wore a striped silk-blend dress by Ralph Lauren ($490), TaylorSwiftStyled on Instagram reported.

Her other bling was an $18,000 Santos Demoiselle watch from Cartier.

Kelce’s teammate and good friend Patrick Mahomes and his wife, KC Current co-owner Brittany Mahomes, congratulated the couple with separate Instagram Stories messages. Patrick’s message was simple — three red hearts.

“Two of the most genuine people meet & fall in love. Just so happy for these two,” Brittany wrote.

Swift and Kelce have become the first couple of Kansas City as their romance has blossomed. It began when Kelce attended Swift’s Eras Tour concert at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in July 2023, intending to give her a friendship bracelet. But he failed.

He mentioned it on the “New Heights” podcast he co-hosts with his brother, former NFL center Jason Kelce.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” he said.

At the time, it seemed like a goofy stunt by Kelce, but an intermediatory soon stepped in and helped Kelce connect with Swift. Was it Swift’s second cousin, Danny Frye? Or NFL broadcasters Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson?

No matter who it was, Kelce’s public proclamation wowed Swift.

“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” Swift told Time magazine. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.”

They dated under the radar until Swift attended the Chiefs-Bears game on Sept. 24, 2023, sneaking into Arrowhead surrounded by a posse of Kelce’s friends. She became a regular at Chiefs home games — much to the chagrin of some NFL fans. That season she attended 13 games and the Super Bowl.

Kelce has now seen Swift’s concerts in five continents, and they vacationed together in the Bahamas and spent time together in Europe.

Arrowhead, meanwhile, became Swift’s private fashion runway, with fashionistas across the country waiting every game to see what she would wear.

She looked great in red.

Kelce returned the favor by attending several of her Eras Tours shows, traveling overseas to Australia, Ireland, England and Argentina, where he dined with Swift’s father, Scott Swift.

This has been a romance that has captured the world’s attention, arguably no place more so than in Kansas City, which has adopted Swift like a daughter. KC has provided the couple unheard-of privacy as they are seen around town in restaurants, their whereabouts kept secret.

She has charmed Kelce’s teammates with baked goods and personal notes. She has visited patients at Children’s Mercy Hospital.

This month Union Station honored the announcement of her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” by lighting up the building in the album’s color scheme.

The attention she has brought to Kansas City has inarguably been good for local businesses — from shops whose Chiefs apparel and jewelry she has worn, to bakeries that have added Swift-themed cookies to their regular menus.
